We
have just two places left on our D-Day Battlefield Tour to Normandy on 11-14 April,
to commemorate the seventieth anniversary of the Landings. It is open to
OBs, parents and friends; previous trips have had a very sociable

The
date of the 2014 OB
Club Annual Dinner has been finalised: Friday 21st
November 2014, in London. We had around 200 attendees last year - why not
gather a group of your classmates for a mini-reunion!

On
29th January, the first Archie Wellbelove (01-12) Prize was awarded to Alex
Horn for his exploration of Iago from Shakespeare's Othello. The Prize is
awarded in memory of Archie, for ambition and ability exploring a chosen
text in response to one of three questions. You can read more about the Prize and
entrants here.

week, Wednesday saw me able to attend most of a concert by pianist Grace
Mo, an outstanding soloist who is also one of our peripatetic Music
staff. Her recital included works by Scriabin, Chopin, Liszt and Ravel

In an art-related career?
Submit your artwork to our exhibition for OBs who studied art and have
a career in this field - artist, architect, graphic designer etc. The
Opening Evening is on 6th June, followed by a Reunion Dinner for all
who studied Art at Bedford. Find out more.

OB Wakely at Northants
Batsman Alex Wakely (96-07) has signed a two-year deal at
Northamptonshire, so will stay on at the County Ground until the end of
the 2015 season. Congratulations Alex. Read more

Oxford
1st XV selection
Harry Beale (98-09) has made it into the Oxford University 1st XV rugby
team as a flanker. The 23-year-old studies Medicine at Magdalen
College, and plays regularly at OB Rugby matches.

Glynde Estate OB visit
Estate Manager and OB Nick Jones (86-91) is looking forward to
welcoming OBs in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex area to the Estate, as

Chapel
Choir in Ely
The School Chapel Choir are visiting Ely to sing Joint Evensong with
the Cathedral Choir. They will be performing in Ely Cathedral at 5.30pm
on Thursday 27th February. Admission is free.

A concerted effort!
Staff, OBs, parents and boys came together to celebrate local conductor
Michael Rose's 80th birthday with a special concert. The Bedford
Sinfonia, founded by Michael in 1972, performed with Bedford Choral

OB Rowing and Dinner
On 15th March, the OB rowing team will take on the School - contact Ally
Satchwill to get involved. The
Boat Club Annual Dinner follows that evening; all OBs are welcome to

Bedford School are looking for two graduate teaching assistants. The
academic-year long roles would suit those seeking experience before a

his offices. We are looking for a venue for the next event at end
