Campaign for Sport

As a School we are committed to Sport being at the centre of what we do. From the elite in the top teams to the D team enthusiast, all can, and should, benefit from an ethos which promotes the values of team participation, physical fitness, competitive ambition and sportsmanship.

Our aims are simple:

1.   To maintain an enhance Bedford School's considerable sporting reputation.
2.   To be at the forefront of innovation in school sport.
3.   To provide meaningful and enjoyable sporting opportunities for all boys.
4.   To promote the values of fair play, teamwork, healthy competition & respect for rules and officials.

There is a creative tension between celebrating the past and embracing the future; between providing for the elite few and ensuring participation for all; between the practical needs of facilities and the desire to make a statement about our commitment to school sports. I believe, coupled with the above, the Campaign for Sport embraces those tensions and gives us a clear vision. I do hope you will consider supporting us to make the aims of this campaign a reality.
