DVP Devon and Cornwall Visit to Fairground Heritage Centre and Lunch

OBs local to Devon and Cornwall, or who are in the area visiting, are invited to a visit and lunch organised by DVP for the area, David Jones (60-64).

We will be starting the morning with a visit to the unique Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre in Lifton. Experience the magic of a bygone age through exhibits, vintage engineering and stunning artwork displays. As home to the National Fairground Collection and the Fairground Heritage Trust, there are displays of fairground art and memorabilia, a large array of vintage rides, stall and shows, plus industrial heritage including industrial and road steam engines, vintage vehicles, roadsigns and assorted vintage machinery. It is all undercover.

We will meet at 10.30am to explore the centre. Tickets for entry are £5 per person and must be booked in advance. Tokens can be purchased at the Centre to take part in some of the vintage rides, stalls and games (50p per token, most rides require 2 tokens).

At 12.30pm we will meet at the beautiful Lifton Hall Hotel for arrival drinks, followed by a three course lunch at 12.45 to 1pm. See the menu here. Tickets for the lunch are £26 per person. If they wish, OBs are welcome to attend the lunch only (and not the Heritage Centre).
