OB Sports Clubs

Welcome to the OB Sports Club Page. The Club's sports representatives organise fixtures against the School sides. Traditionally, School v OB matches take place on the last weekend of term and during OB Week in the summer term. External fixtures are also arranged, especially in our OB Golf, Cricket and Rugby Clubs.

Most of the the major sports played while boys are at Bedford continue to be offered through the OB Club both as a means of continuing to enjoy the sport itself and to meet and network with fellow OBs. Some sports, such as golf, have fixtures throughout the year, and the OB Club is looking at ways of supporting this concept for other sports.

Key OB fixtures in a range of sports are included on the specific sport club pages and we encourage both participants and spectators back to the School. In addition, the OB Golf Society has a dedicated committee and arranges an annual calendar of events including OBs v The School, which is played at Woburn. The Golf Society continues to grow from strength to strength, as does the Cricket Club. The Cricket Club annual lunch and AGM take place during OB Week in July along with their key fixtures in the season including the OB V OBM 'grudge' match.

Our Sports Clubs continue to develop, some more than others. We are always open to suggestions for ways to improve and reach out to more of our sporting alumni. Please get in touch.
